The second annual Float Fly and BBQ is now in the history books!
The first flight of the day was by our youngest member, Reid Tull, with his ”Timber” on floats and Terry B. “riding shotgun” on the buddy box in case of trouble. This was Reid’s first flight on floats and Terry didn’t have to touch the sticks. Well done Master Tull!
All fliers had multiple flights, as the weather behaved itself ‘till after lunch, when the wind shifted direction and the water got a bit choppy.
Larry Greco, our “chief cook and burger flipper”, fed us sausages, hot dogs, and burgers along with yummy baked beans, various salads, and cold beverages. Thanks for a great meal Larry! We promise to tip better next year!
A special thanks to Tom for organizing the event, gathering all the grub, and setting up the equipment, and to the Soo Modellers for their support. Well done gang!
‘Till next year, see ya at the dock
