PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES REVIEWED:
Moved by Ron McLean seconded by Stan Pulice, that the minutes be approved as published. Motion carried .
TREASURERS REPORT – No report.
EXECUTIVE MEMBER REPORTS:
Craig has spoken to the drone operator concerning the issue that was raised at our last meeting .
After talking to the staff at the Community Center, it was determined that their current procedure concerning the washrooms will remain as is.
BUSINESS ARISING:
Concerning the resignation of Mark Primavera, Stan Pulice has agreed to take on the position of treasurer.
We are going to see you what can be done to get the discord communication app back on track.
A discussion was held concerning the feelers that have been put out by MAAC concerning getting drone operators interested in joining the organization.
A discussion took place concerning the use of social media and other methods for reaching people who would be interested in taking up the hobby.
A conversation also took place concerning the various rules and regulations that are in effect at the Leigh’s Bay field.
Craig and Ron will be meeting with the Bushplane Museum on March 11 to discuss our usage agreement.
NEW BUSINESS:
A Frozen Finger event has been proposed for March 15 at the field.
Also, we are looking at having a barbeque on July 19th.
Dave Derbyshire is going to put together a concept for a training program to entice new people into becoming members of the club.
