For our "club night" meeting in February, members were encouraged to bring their latest projects.

  • Peter spoke at length on his Twisted Hobbys Triplane (photo above).
  • Rino brought a Tiger 2 with a detailed cockpit (above). Very nice looking 52 OS 4 Cycle for power. He had some graphics done at Cliffs Printing.
  • JP brought a 55cc Giles, an IMAC Model. We helped JP with some setup programming.
  • Craig brought his FliteTest "Otter".

Joe Bertrand of Maker North was also in attendance to describe their operation and what they could do for any scratch builder. I had provided plans for a Brian Taylor Mosquito. Joe had laser cut some of the bulkheads to demonstrate their capabilities. They also have 3D printing capabilities.

March 30th - Annual Display at Station Mall

December 12 - Annual Awards Dinner

Sixteen members and family attended this year's dinner, held at North 82 Steak & Seafood Co.

By a unanimous decision of the selection committee, this year's coveted Stan Lyons Award was presented to George Federley (photo right).

Among his many contributions to the club, George played a key role in the repairs to our storage container at the flying site this past summer and organizes our indoor flying program at the gym each year. Bravo George! Well deserved...
