This past Saturday (Jan 20th) was an excellent day for flying.The first photo (below) faces the club house, covers, starting area, etc.. The MXS-R (second photo) is my newest plane, it is 20cc gas. In the background, you can see the runway, which is approx 600 ft of grass. Trees at both ends, though. Our Sault field has much better approaches. Yay Sault Ste.Marie!

Went to the MCRC flying field last Wednesday (Feb 7). Just happened that Quique Somenzini and David Ribbe of Flex Innovations showed up to test their new 90mm EDF (electric ducted fan) "Flex Jet PNP" (available late March). They came to our field, as they wanted to be sure it would fly off grass.
Needless to say they were successful and I got to see some spectacular flying.
It was a thrill to be able to talk one-on-one with world champion flyers.
