Matt and Ian Dunlop: Since both joining the Sault Modellers the brothers have been continous members in good standing. Over the years they:
  • introduced members to the new technologies especially in FPV and multi-rotor craft
  • have aided members with their knowledge of electric flight characteristics
  • have represented the club at various electric events
  • have participated in club work projects over the years
  • have represented the club at a civic level - working with local Search and Rescue
  • willingly helped members with technical expertise both club and non-club related
  • developed electric kits and demonstrated new concepts in electric aircraft construction
 
George Federley: George has been a long time member in good standing of the Sault Modellers. More recently he has taken a very active role in club activities. A competent RC pilot he:
  • has taken the lead in establishing a place for winter indoor flying at a reduced cost to those participating
  • assisted in club work schedules at the field
  • helped in the promotion of the club at various displays and information sessions
  • promoted FPV flying in the club
  • versed in the flying of helicopters and multi-rotor craft
  • is always willing to help fellow members and the club with his technical and mechanical expertise
 
Craig Knight: Is a continuous member in good standing of the Sault Modellers since the 1970’s and he:
  • Has held the position of club President for the past seven years and past president
  • Position of secretary in past years
  • Assistant Zone director for the past six years
  • Instrumental in establishing IMAC competition in the Northern Zone - NOIC
  • Assisted in establishing indoor flying activity
  • Club flying instructor and recently resumed the role of chief instructor
  • member of the MAAC safety committee
  • has represented the club at various IMAC competitions
 
Brad Newstead: Brad is a recent member in good standing with Sault Modelers and amost competent RC pilot. Having to travel some distance to the club facility he has still managed to:
  • many occasions get the to the field to help with maintenance duties
  • has assisted in the snow dump clean-up
  • participated in major club displays
  • operating both electric and fuel powered craft he is always ready to lend a helping hand to fellow members
 
The above named are all worthy of your consideration for the Stan Lyons Award. Should you wish to write in a member who you feel should be considered than you may do so on you ballot at our AGM on November 9.
